MBBS Admission Policy for Session 2024 – 25 (Class of 2030)
Admission on Local Seats:
As per PMDC Act 2022 referred to be adhered to by notification PF-1-C-PM&DC/Notification/2024/529 dated 23rd August 2024, for admission at Liaquat National
Medical College, a candidate must have:
- Passed the MDCAT examination as per PMDC requirement

Obtained a Higher Secondary School certificate qualification ("HSSC") or an equivalent
12th grade qualification recognized in Pakistan and having obtained a minimum of sixty
percent (60%) marks therein, or a higher percentage as may be notified by the Pakistan
Medical and Dental Council; and
-
Passed the mandatory subjects of biology and chemistry. The student may opt to qualify
either physics or mathematics in the examination of the Higher Secondary School
Certificate or an equivalent 12th grade qualification recognized in Pakistan.
- Students are required to appear for and successfully clear the interview.
- Proficiency in English language, both written and verbal is required.
Admission on Foreign / Dual National / Overseas Pakistani Quota Seats
As per PMDC act 2022 referred to be adhered to by notification PF-1-C-PM&DC/Notification/2024/529 dated 23rd August 2024, the student admitted against foreign
/ Dual National /overseas Pakistani quota shall have to fulfill the following admission criteria:

A foreign quota seat candidate should hold a permanent foreign nationality or be an
overseas Pakistani (being a Pakistani citizen permanently resident in a foreign
country), and who has studied and passed HSSC 12th grade examination or equivalent
from outside Pakistan and is a resident of a foreign country at the time of applying for
admission and possess a certificate from the institution last attended to this effect.
The student must pass the mandatory subjects of biology and chemistry and may opt
to qualify either physics or mathematics in the examination of the Higher Secondary
School Certificate or an equivalent 12th grade qualification recognized in Pakistan.

The mandatory requirement of MDCAT shall not apply to students seeking admission
on a special program seat predefined exclusively for foreign students and on the seats
reserved for overseas Pakistanis. Such students shall qualify SAT-II with minimum
score of 550 in each subject or a foreign MCAT examination or UCAT examination with
50% marks in the subjects mentioned above.

Provided further that a student admitted on a foreign seat shall pay the fee as a foreign
student regardless of any change in status of such student during the program of
study. A foreign student shall pay the prescribed fee in foreign exchange only.

Students are required to appear for and successfully clear the interview.

Be proficient in English language, both written and verbal.
The Structure of an Interview
With regards to the structure of interview, the interview process shall entail filling of a
general questionnaire where questions shall be asked with regards to the students, his /
her interest, aspirations, extra-curricular activities, self-assessment etc. Subsequently, the
students shall be meeting our panel of faculty members who shall further interview the
candidates and gauge:

Communication skills
-
Logical / analytical thinking
-
Problem solving / decision making
-
Personal attributes important to being a doctor e.g. empathy, compassion, social work

Character assessment to determine whether a team player, has leadership qualities etc
Admission Process
- The admission process shall be conducted through an online admission portal.

Applicant shall pay the Application Registration Fee (Rs.2,000) as per PMDC policy by
printing voucher from the portal, depositing payment in bank and uploading the receipt
in the portal.

Only applications which have been submitted in time and have uploaded supporting
documents including evidence of paid application processing fee shall be called for an interview.

LNMC shall issue provisional and final merit lists of all students on its official website
taking into account results of MDCAT, other exam results and interview.

A student when accepting admission to our college shall be under an obligation to disclose
if a prior admission has been accepted by him/her to any other college, and such student
shall prior to accepting such latter admission must in writing inform the prior college of
cancellation of their acceptance with a copy to the designated email to PMDC & LNMC.

If any student declines admission offer or does not pay fee by voucher due date, next
applicant on the merit list will be offered admission against such seat.

The final list of admitted students shall be submitted to PMDC through PMDC Online
Portal.
Migration
Liaquat National Hospital & Medical College has 02 vacant seats in 3rd year MBBS.
For applying to Migration in 3rd year MBBS on vacant seats, please send the application via email on
lnmc.admin@lnh.edu.pk latest by 11th Dec 2024.
The application must accompany the mentioned below documents:

Matriculation Marks Sheet / O – Level equivalence certificate

Intermediate Marks Sheet / A – Level equivalence certificate
-
Official copy of MDCAT score, provincial Entry test / NTS Score / SAT score (whatever applicable)

Attested copies of previous professional examinations passed.

Official Attendance Record of all academic years spent at the institution from where applicant wants to transfer / migrate.

Domicile Certificate of Student

B-Form / CNIC of Student
Note:

Each scanned file size must be 1MB or less and should be in PDF format.

You are also required to mention Applicant Name and Father Name in subject body of your email and also provide contact number in message body.

Students immigrating from other institutions will only be eligible after passing year 2 of their respective program.

Please note that migration / transfer will only be possible, when the aggregate marks are not less than the marks of the last candidate admitted on merit at LNMC in the respective class.
